Loved every minute of this one off experience . Our 4 hour sleigh ride with beautiful mountain flower confidently covering the snow on a still night through forest along the river Alta to an amazing Camp site with home made food warm drinks laughter stories atmosphere in spades . Will never forget this fairytale experience a rug over our knees warm jackets supplied Support this wonderful family enterprise you won’t be disappointed .

Perfect evening thanks to Johnny & Levi of Flatmoen Natur. Thankfully found this amazing sleigh ride under the Northern Lights after looking up excursions for my cruise to Norway & cannot tell enough people what a must this is, if your visiting Alta. Our gorgeous Norwegian fjord horse mountain flower took excellent care of us as did Johnny on our very comfortable ride through the woods, next to the river, alongside the mountains taking us to our campfire. Once at our campfire we were greeted by Levi who gave us traditional Glogg, a sliced cured meat appetiser whilst then cooking for us a Norwegian meal of reindeer which was the best meal we’ve had since being away. We were then treated to handmade cinnamon buns warmed on our glowing campfire. Johnny & Levi were so attentive, always ensuring we were comfortable, warm enough, had enough to drink, just making it a night we never wanted to end with their warm hospitality, stories, food, drink & company. Just wish we were in Alta for longer as I already want to come back & experience everything they offer as know anything they do will always be a truly unique, personable, memorable experience. Above & beyond all expectations our evening with Johnny & Levi of Flatmoen Natur on our sleigh ride kindly pulled by the gorgeous mountain flower under the northern lights is a experience you will never forget. If you visit Alta then you have to do this, it is a truly magical fairytale, personal, once in a lifetime experience made extra special by so many individual, bespoke extras. It’s such a magical experience being pulled on a slay through the crisp white snow, on beautiful soft fur blankets with a back drop of mountains, through the woods and Alta river. When you arrive at the outside camp with a warm fire you are treated to hot glogg and sliced cured meat followed by the most amazing reindeer dish all made on the campfire, then all fished with a homemade cinnamon roll and coffee. Your hosts Levi and Jonny make your feel so welcome, comfortable are very personable and tell great stories whilst always ensuring your warm enough & have a full cup of glogg or coffee. Book a sleigh ride under the northern stars with Flatmoen Natur, you will not be disappointed & will be telling all your friends & anyone you know visiting Norway that they too have to book & go on this truly magical experience!!
