Captain Tor is wonderful! We went on the fishing trip. He makes this much more than a fishing trip. His family and he are life residents of the town and he knows an amazing amount of info which he shares as he gives you a tour, making this a personal tour as well as a fishing trip. Gorgeous place to fish, plenty of fish. Our teens had a blast.

Breathtaking views throughout the Songefjord. Feeling the spray of the waterfall was an added perk! Our guide, Lars, was funny and as a local to Balestrand, he was very knowledgeable about local history, architecture, and Nordic legends. If you're in the area I highly suggest even a quick tour. Some views you just can't get unless you're out on the water. Takk Lars!

Excellent tour, best way to see the Fjords is out on the water. The company gives you all the gear you need to stay dry. Great way to get up close to the waterfalls. Lars was an excellent guide with lots of history and information about the area. He even took us past his own farm! Highly recommend.

We went out on the Balestrand Adventures rib boat tour with Captain Lars and thoroughly enjoyed it. I say this even though it was raining and windy. He offered to cancel, but we asked to go out despite the weather. Considering the conditions, he did an excellent job of keeping us as comfortable as possible while sharing with us the sites and history of the area. A good time.

Went on a rib boat tour through Balestrand in the early morning. Weather was bad and we went there expecting the tour may be canceled - mist and rain didn't seem like good conditions for it. There were just 3 people - 2 of us and an elderly lady. Captain came in and said we're going nevertheless. Started 30 min late and off we went. Weather was getting worse and worse and we were just bracing - super cold, super wet, nothing really to see. And this continued for 2.5 hours. Absolute misery!!! Captain was trying to crack jokes for a while, but then even he went silent. We landed extremely cold, wet, shivering in 7C degrees and he just said this is normal in Norway. No tea, no towels offered, just waved everyone goodbye. It's a miracle none of us got hypothermia. Old lady looked in a really bad shape as well - saw her boarding a ferry boat, no idea how she survived another trip in such condition. I don't think a responsible company should think just about the money rather than comfort and SAFETY of passengers. Really disappointed.
