We have stayed in the Bergo cabins twice now, winter 2016 and 2017. On both occasions we were very happy with the accommodation. Despite the furnishings being a little bit dated the cabins were cosy and warm , clean and very well equipped. We felt very comfortable. The cabins are close enough to the ski slopes to walk or ski to. The shops are so close for food, everything you need is within walking distance. Only service vehicles come by the cabins once or twice a day so it's very safe for children to play out in the snow. The cabins are run by the Bergo Hotel and we have found the staff to be helpful and friendly. In addition to the practical side the cabins added to our 'Norwegian' holiday experience and we loved waking up to the magnificent views of Beitostolen and the surrounding mountain.
The beds are really not comfortable and everything inside the cabins look old. The cleaning fee if you don't want to clean yourself is quite high. Even though parking is free, there is never parking available. The location is good, at center of town and close to everything.
They didn't pay out some hotel workers, didn't keep what was is in the work contracts. Rooms okey, hotel feeling okey, but hundred animal killed and perepared for vitrin is disguasting!
Amazingly family friendly, really close to ski school and shops ect. Lovely helpful locals.
Beautiful view, very comfortable cabin and with a sauna. Fantastic place for hiking.
I liked this place. We stayed in one of their self catering apartments and it was well designed and comfortable. Nowhere to stash your gear in the bedrooms, I have to admit. Nice and central for pubs shops and downhill runs. Staff were fine.
Never again, unfriendly, expensíve,animal hater, also they cheated workers there!
