I could not go to this hotel in Dec, 2020 because of the entry ban by Norweigan authority as the picture showed. I asked them to follow the contract (which is also applied to non-refundable booking) which says "Forcemajeure event means: Any of the following events affecting multiple guests and multiple accommodations: act-of-God, (...) (natural) disaster, (...) any local or national emergency, (...), compliance with any order or request of any national, provincial, port or other public authority, government regulation or intervention, (...), civil disorder (...), curtailment of transportation facilities, close down of airports or any other exceptional and catastrophic event, circumstance or emergency, making it impossible, illegal or prevents guests from travelling to or staying at the accommodation. In the event of a Force Majeure Event, the Accommodation shall not charge (and shall repay (if applicable)) the Guests affected by the Force Majeure Event any fee, costs, expenses or other amount (including the (non-refundable) rate or the no-show, (change of) reservation or cancellation fee) for (i) any cancellation or change of the reservation made by the Guests, or (ii) that part of the reservation that was not consumed, due to the Force Majeure Event." This hotel refused to refund even partially. I kindly provided several official evidences that I could not make it but the hotel was so terribly cruel.

A bit old, but clean and the personnel is excellent.
Excellent value hotel. Our room was of a good size and it felt clean, there was no view as it pointed to an ally. The bathroom was heated which was a plus and the Juniper shower gel (which they sale) smells as if it had been made in heaven. The ladies at the front desk were very kind and professional. Good breakfast and afternoon waffles. Also, there is a free gym and a laundry facility. Great location in the center of Bergen and walking distance to the Funicular, Fish Market etc. Although there is always room for improvement, I would unreservedly recommend this hotel, if you are looking for a basic stay with great value.
Excellent breakfast with a very large selection of high quality products. The lounge area in the lobby is very comfortable and home-like. Here you can have a tea or coffee after returning from the city centre which is located only a short walk from the hotel. The great location is this hotel's best quality - if you want to stay close to Bergen city centre, then this is the place to stay. Order parking in advance in order to park in the parking lot across the street. Most negative about our stay was the poor ventilation. When we visited the weather was hot but it was difficult to keep a low temperature in the room because the ventilation was not running and there is no air-conditioning in the rooms. The drain in the bathtub also flooded the bathroom floor - maybe because of clogging.
Great spot in the centre of Bergen centrum. Morning buffet is a bit tight at rush hour, but the wine bar makes up for the lack of space there. Free fruit was a big bonus. The location is fantastic, you have less than a minute to walk out to the water with a great view of the old town. A few more minutes and you will be in the middle of restaurants, bars and a fishing market. Receptionist was a bit confused if it was legal to keep the car running outside of the hotel entrance to unload and load baggage at arrival and departure, but you are allowed to keep the car running as long as you are able to move it within seconds.
Very pleasant hotel to stay, with perfect location.
We needed to hastily make a 2-night reservation in Bergen, Norway due to cruise ship issues. So, we reserved a room at this hotel. Room is small but adequate for our needs. Location is excellent and near harbor and fish market. Price is affordable. They include an excellent breakfast buffet. Room service and front desk are very friendly, helpful and responsive. Highly recommend this hotel to others.
