A bit out of the way, but certainly gets the job done! The neighborhood is quiet, and there's a nice market just down the street.

one of best ever hostels. perfect organized, clean,friendly, great choices at breakfast, we had a double room. the view down to city center breathtaking. bus every half hour to city center.
The location is good for the mountain but it's a bus or a long uphill walk to get there from the station or centre. Facilities were good, kitchen was extremely well stocked and the staff were delightful. They held free daily excursions to some beautiful places for the guests and held a 'coffee and cookies' event ever evening so guests could have a chance to chat to one another as well as some of the volunteers. There's also a viewpoint just beyond the hostel garden that is absolutely stunning at sunset
Nice place with friendly staff. There is gym, laundry, games room, big kitchen, BBQ place... You can feel yourself like at friend home. But the most what I liked there to see sunset. There is incredible views.
Wonderful hostel. The staff was very kind and coordinated me being able to arrive late and be there by myself. It was clean and comfortable. They provide cookies and tea every day at a certain time. If you go out back there is also a very beautiful view of Bergen!! It's close to a bus stop as well so you can get into the city center easily. Definitely recommend. Lots of breakfast options as well.
Great spacious place in the hills outside of town. Easily accessible by bus. Great people there but the room I stayed in only had 1 outlet to share between 4 people.
If you like hiking this is the best place to stay and take a hike up to mount Ulriken, which you can see straight from hostel. Also there is lovely and helpful staff working in the hostel.
Clean rooms, clean bathrooms. The hostel had a Beautiful view of the surrounding area. Can see all of Bergen from the patio area. Close to hiking trails where you can see the entire area. The hostel is located far from town and is a steep hike. But with public transportation this isn't a problem at all. Free breakfast in the morning is a nice touch and the views from the dining area are really nice. I'd recommend staying here if you're not in a rush and don't mind hiking or public transportation. It's definitely worth it.
