Best fish in town. Experts at work who filet the fish or see food you choose fresh. Chefs then prepare that excellent for you. We had the scallops and two different fish with a nice wine (they only serve alcohol after 13:00h). We asked them for advice on the fish and it was superb.

One of my favorite spots in Bergen. If you love seafood the fish market is an absolute must see and an experience you do not want to miss out on. The lobster, king crab, and salmon are delicious. It is also a great opportunity to try out some different seafood if you are an adventurous eater.

This place offers great fish. However, the prices are astronomical. If you want to enjoy norwegian fish you are better off in a grocery store.

Cute, short, touristy lane of booths offering fresh seafood at outrageous prices. Dried reindeer sausages, bland seafood paella, beer, beverages, but no wine available. Nice jaunt, but probably better bet to eat at a nearby restaurant where the lobster won't be overcooked.

We initially weren't sure what the covered stalls were from across the road and decided to investigate what was so popular, and discovered several food stalls and fishmongers. It seemed that local people were buying fresh fish and seafood from the fishmongers to take home, while tourists and non-locals were eating at the tables provided - a real mix of everything fish and seafood lovers could wish for. Unfortunately we had already eaten by the time we visited, but will definitely eat there, should we find ourselves in Bergen again!

Fun experience. Very exciting to see the fresh seafood and get it cooked right in front of your eyes. As a limited seafood eater, I had some cod cakes. Very interesting for sure if you're used to American fish cakes. These here in Norway have no breading or bread filling and seem to be a compressed cod with seasoning almost like the texture of bologna. Not bad but not my favorite either due to texture. My mother got a seafood skewer which she liked and my sister got a whale burger which was similar to a thinly sliced steak. We definitely plan on going back during our trip.
