Corona update: not that bad. 1m distance was maintained all the way. Not that expensive, and a cool attraction to visit while in town. Makes for some cool pictures. Has hotdogs and beer/wine at the top. WC facilities are good. Well worth it imo.

Fantastic views. Plenty to see and do up at the top. Worth the ride up? Maybe. We also did the hike up to the mountain; more rewarding once we staggered to the destination.
One of best inclined railway in Europe. It’s a must visit in Bergen.

What a fun little ride. We hiked up to the mountain and took the funicular back down to the base. Lovely views and experience. Must do while you are there!
FUNICULAR FUN is a sure thing with an up bound ticket on this conveyance that carries passengers to grand views of the city’s downtown and harbor from a handsome platform. The designers knew what they were doing, fixing all seats and standing spots for views. Mists skirting buildings and ships coming and going look like toys or props. Good loos, too.
A must do if you are in Bergen. Really nice view going to the top. You could see/feel the clouds passing by. Amazing views from the top of the city mountains and the open water front. We walked our way back down to the city center and route was amazing. If you have time you can venture to the forest for a hike.
