Lysverket has a tastning menu or a three course menu. We tried the last with the wine menu to support the meals. The menu gave us two options for starters, two options for main and two for dessert. I addition we got a small starter and a small extra dessert. Both interesting and very tasteful. The dinner was very nice and everything was cooked to perfection. The servings were traditional and not very experimental but excellent ingredients were used and everything was prepared with love and a steady hand. I expect the tasting menu to be more experimental. The wines were daring and complex and supported the food brilliantly. The atmosphere was relaxing and the service was good. Great place and reasonably priced.

The resteraunt has a lovely location and interior environment. Friendly staff, but it can be a bit slow in rush hours. We had great experience with the food, and definitely my favorite wine-pairing experience in Norway. Highly recommend!

If you want to try local seafood cooked with beautiful local ingredients eat here! The owner Christopher is lovely which is reflected in his staff. And, the food! If you love seafood and care where it comes from, then this is the place to be. It’s also super relaxed with an interesting decor (I forgot to ask why all the pictures look “in” on the restaurant.) I learnt a lot about food here, and felt looked after without being hovered over. A rare skill in restaurants.

Delicious meal and helpful waitress with food and wine matches. Hadn't booked but were there early and staff could have been warmer but warmed up quick enough. Lovely modern setting with art around the venue. Food was good on the eyes and palate.

Great interior, nice views and friendly staff, all of which cost a lot, but you don't go here to save money.

Experience at Lysverket was a mixed bag. Great athmosphere in a cool Nordic decor. We had the 3 course menu - king crab dumplings were exquisite with fresh ingredients; beef as main was disappointing, rather dry and chewy and definitely not up to par in this price class; almond tart was nicely presented but relatively plain with no originality in taste. Wine recommendations were excellent. Service was friendly but waiting time between dishes was much too long, we came in at 9pm, main was served at 11pm, dessert around midnight. My wife was dead-tired by the end and the wait time definitely blemished the overall experience. We’re not the only ones writing about this so there must be some fundamental problems with the process in the kitchen.

Great desert, fabulous wine selection. But overpriced. Ox cheek was good but having just had a very similar dish at another upscale restaurant the night before for 1/2 the price, it was nothing to write home about. Lovely service though, everyone was wonderful. Again nothing was bad, just not worthy of the 250 price tag for two people.

Michelin recommended restaurant in the building of the KODE 4 contemporary art museum. Modern spacious interior. Choice of a 6/7 course menu or order the same menu dishes a la carte. Dishes made with a lot of local ingredients an flavours. I visited on a busy Friday evening. My party ordered 2 menu's and 2 a la carte. Quality and taste of the food is good, presentation of the food was a bit sloppy by Michelin standards. Menu has good sized servings, the a la carte dishes are rather small. Best for all guests in your party to order the set menu which is the better value. Staff was friendly, prices Norwegian/Swiss level.
