Great staff service and great rooms. I'd say the whole building look good and the food there is great. The bed was pretty bouncy though and the shower water took a little time before it became warm. The view was great and it believe it is the best I have seen in a long time. The 4 stars is because one of the staff members was a little salty.

Didn't stay but dropped in for a drink after seeing the column which was quite a spectacle! Very strange hotel with quite an 'eclectic' interior decor style. Don't ask for a latte as you just get told to 'make your own' and are pointed to an urn of instant coffee and milk.
The hotel is in a nice location. The rooms are oddly shaped. I had no wifi in the room. The only wifi was in the lobby. The we quality of food and service at dinner was below average. The service is rushed. This is a hotel that caters mainly to bus tours and it shows.
The location is wonderful. Every night we opened our windows to hear the river near the front of the property. The food and service was excellent! It was the best food we had our entire trip in Norway! The only reason I did not give it five stars was our bed and shower. The bed was very bouncy and the shower leaked onto the bathroom floor. But the room was clean and not too small.

Beautiful place, nice main building, great food, cozy common rooms. Internet only in the main building, not in all rooms. rooms a bit basic, but ok. Very helpful staff.
We loved the dinner, big bowl of soup, nice salmon dish and the home made ice cream. The room was furnished old style and very spacious. Breakfast was really good, we loved the waffles. The wifi wasn't working in the rooms unfortunately. On the expensive side, but i suppose it is a historic hotel in an are with not much accommodation availavle.
