Lovely and unique place to stay within a short walk from the center of Stavanger. The owners are very kind and helpful and the breakfast is amazing! Highly recommended.

Darby's Inn is not only the best hotel you could ask for in Stavanger (or anywhere else), it's worth the trip in itself. An impeccably renovated 19th century townhouse, run by a lovely couple full of interesting stories. Checks all the regular hotel boxes, too: lovely breakfast; comfortable, spacious rooms and a three minute walk to the city centre. A no-brainer if there ever was one!
Step back in time but don’t loose modern comforts. My British host is charming old gentleman who after his seven years in Singapore decided to settle down in Norway. And my strong recommendation is that if you ever stay in Stavanger choose this place. You might even hear a story or two if you’re lucky.
Great B&B! We received a more than warm welcome even though we arrived a little early. The hosts are very kind and love to give advice or just have a little chat. Room was splendid, as well was breakfast. Highly recommend the place.
Venke and Paul have created a beautiful home and fused with it a passion for hosting guests in their 5 star BnB. More like a small boutique hotel, with good guest privacy in a tastefully renovated 1890s era large mansion. With all the advantages of a private home and attentive hosts. Venke and Paul are gracious hosts full of stories and great recommendations for how best to enjoy the stavanger region, and Venke’s breakfasts are abundant, healthy and delicious. Their home is richly decorated with a lifetime’s worth of collectibles from the far east, that would almost make them worthy in their own right as a Stavanger museum. Located in an upmarket suburb but only 10 minutes walk from old town. Highly recommend Darby’s B&B.
