Clean, very clean. I don't know if it's because of the ongoing Covid situation or if it is their normal standard. If you are like me, out hiking all day and just in need of a place to sleep and shower I can highly recommend Øen.

The new cottages are fantastic and of great value for what you pay. We had a 2 bedroom cottage with our own bathroom at 850 nok. It seemed newly renovated and had all necessities. Even. WiFi. Remember to bring own linen and towels, or you can rent on site.

Great place to stay, nice rooms, they have shared accommodation, as well as cabins. Recommend if you are on budget.
so, i went here on my honeymoon for a cheap place to stay ang oh my god! this place smelled like a cat died. breakfast was good though.
Cabin was not clean to standard. It was clear no one had thuroughly cleaned the cabin in a long time. Bed space was cramped as was kitchen. Bathroom was dingy. Pet friendly but charged extra. Close to main road and train tracks. Our cabin was close to the communal bathrooms and you could clearly hear that all night. Had to have windows open for ventilation.
We lived in a 8 bed apartment just by the road. The apartment covered our basic needs, but was quite worn down and could use some renovation. Short on cleaning supplies, making it hard to clean properly upon leaving.
