Absolutely loved the place, the warm atmosphere, the welcoming staff, the amazing room, and the beautiful scenery... The food in the restaurant was good, but the chef should consider using more local flavours in my opinion. Breakfast had all we could wish for. A pro tip is to book the wood fired saunaoutdoors hot tub after dinner service. Fantastic cozy place. Authentically Norwegian, but still an international flair with rooms decorated in different styles from different corners of the world. Definitely to be recommended!
Great location with very nice rooms, great food and very friendly staff. Highly recommend booking the sauna in the afternoon as well.
Fabulous countryside boutique hotel off the E16 towards fjords. I can't say enough about this hotel, Marco and his wife are amazing hosts and she is a fantastic chef. The property looks like it fell out of a five star travel magazine. Beautiful lounge and dining, peaceful outdoor space with fireplace, and wonderful hiking trails.
Hotel has nice location - almost in the forest, big lake is in 5-10 minutes walk, some shops are also quite close. From hotel there are few easy hikes available. We stayed in Iceland room - loved it. If you are going to stay in hotel then DO have dinner in. Food is fresh and delicious Last but not least the hotel has such warm and cozy atmosphere that it literally feels like home. Special thanks to people who work there for love and care that they have to this place and there guests ️
Amazing place. A charming relaxed hideaway in the woods. Delicious food. Charming hosts. Eclectic rooms. Lovely sauna and cross country ski trails nearby.
An absolute jewel of a place and an experience - the sort that surprises, delights and inspires so much you almost just want to keep it to yourself. Hosts Marco and Marie-Jose, with their family and staff, deliver warm and genuine hospitality, as well as truly delicious and elegant meals (... And I'm a pretty spoiled and picky eater). Their background and eye for design shines through not just in the furnishings and decor, but all the little details - how breakfast is laid out, how the dining room is lit for dinner etc. I stayed with my husband and 2.5 year old and was accommodated in all the needed ways - from food to access to the toy box in the lounge. Overall a wonderful stay.
Lovely hotel, excellent food, wonderful hosts and a very comfortable bedroom. Also a great hiking area -see pictures below.
