Excellent food, great atmosphere and very good service!
Paid my second visit to Fishland last week and it didn't disappoint. Great food and attentive, friendly service in a rustic style of decor. I like fish, so plenty for me to choose from. This restaurant also does meat dishes, but I did not try any of those so cannot comment. Prices are eye-wateringly expensive, but that is just typical of Norway where everything seems to cost 2-3 times its equivalent in the UK. Would I go back to Fishland? Definitely.

The perch I had was great. My friends enjoyed the Halibut and salmon.
Food was not good. Being a fish restaurant, it should be better. Fish was chewy, like rubber. Chips came out of a packet, soggy, horrible. I didn't eat much at all. Disappointed.
Excellent kitchen. Very friendly service. Not cheap but worth the money.
During summer time especially, this is Horten's decidedly best restaurant which unsurprisingly specializes in seafood. As everywhere in Horten, the atmosphere is low key and pleasant. The service is friendly, but not always attentive. Wine suggestions are reliable. Most importantly, the food is top class. No magic, just top notch sea food. Meat dishes are also great. Children's menu available. Not a place for vegetarians ;-)
