Well. The emphasis is certainly on Hønefoss, not on Grand Hotel... which has surpassed shabby-chic. But an impressive building, really friendly staff and a generous breakfast buffet. Please arrange som parking agreement, paying an extra 10 for a short night is a bit of a bummer

Stayed at this hotel 5 years ago and gave it 2 stars. Since then, the hotel has improved a lot! The rooms are clean, and they have a very nice staff, happy to help with whatever they can. Prices have improved, so it's value for money to stay here. This is now a hotel I can recommend for anyone who wants to stay in the heart of Hønefoss. I never tried the breakfast. Easy check in. Highly recommended!
Wonderful food served for our 45-year jubilee for senior high school 1973! A special thanks to our waiter Bert, who made the experience even better!
Beautiful old buildings near the river. Very nice welcoming and great tips abiut the area.
This is a unique hotel, old and with soul. Creaky floorboards, No logic whatsoever in room numbers and a mishmash of New and old scattered around. It is special. A note with breakfast hours and wifi password in the room would have made it perfect for a tired worker who didn't notice the info in the reception.
The service was good and the staff were very helpful. The poor breakfast experience, lack of power outlets next to the bed and the fact that you have to pay for the parking pulls the score down
