This place was a really pleasant surprise, right in front of the harbour where the ferries dock. The building used to be a strategic place for the Nazis in their invasion of Norway, which, itself, is already a treat for any history buff. The exposition is really well crafted, accounting for many details of the Norwegian resistance against the Third Reich. It is an obligatory stop for anyone interested in knowing more about WWII in Scandinavia. I advise you not to miss the guided tour. Our guide, August, was really knowledgeable and kind, offering us a complete and in depth tour of the museum in english. The tour is especially important for non-norwegian speaking tourists, since most of the information in the museum is not avaliable in English. We really recommend this place for anyone visiting Kristiansand.
Very interesting view on certain aspects of Norway's recent history.
Very good and important documents about the international fight for human rights and against oppression with a focus on the Norwegian fight against nazism and quislings. Unfortunately too marginal mentioning of the Norwegian comunists who took the biggest part in fighting fascism in Norway.
Good and interesting.
Basement was interesting with lots of information. The other floors were a bit boring. The place seems under construcrion still.
Very informative and morbidly fascinating. A little small in size
quite the grim historical place, ancient nazi torture house where they dug after info. If you like museums this is for you.
