Excellent experience. The staff was punctual and kind. Warm suits/boots and others are provided if needed. We sledded for more than 90 mins. Nice cake and hot drinks after the ride. The dogs were amazing and seem to be well taken care of (important!). Totally recommended.

Highly recommend! We had a wonderful experience from beginning to end: the snow suits they provided were warm and comfortable. Visiting with the dogs for a few minutes before the tour was lovely and felt like just the right amount of time. The dogs seem very happy, healthy and well cared for. The tour guide did a good job of explaining how to "drive" the sled. The experience of driving was a little tricky - it required a lot of focus and a bit of strength. But it was so exciting!!! Such a unique experience. Pro tip: kick the snow out from under the sled any time you're stopping so it doesn't build up. After the sledding was over, we thanked our dogs, and headed into the warm hut where they served hot tea, coffee, hot cocoa and cake, and the woman who runs the place told us all about the dogs and their lives there. Turns out the dogs stay there with their pack mates for their whole lives, and when they're too old to pull the sleds, they become teachers for the younger dogs. How cool is that!? Thanks to the staff and the tour company for a wonderful day that I hope to never forget.

Dog sledding tour - unmissable and unforgettable experience. Even after reading the glowing reviews and having consequent high expectations, this exceeded them by far! It was definitely the best experience we had during our stay in Tromsø. We booked through the company's website and opted to take the car to the dog-sledding facility by ourselves, since that could give us some extra time for some pre-exercise cuddles with the dogs. Every dog we met was so happy and keen on getting petted, and it was honestly a bit hard to part from dog to dog, but we wanted to give each some affection. The host met us with a warm welcome and explained to us where everything was to get changed. In the changing area, there were lockers available but without an actual lock, as Nordic culture is very trusting and open. After we got ready, the big group arrived and we got a proper explanation on how to ride the sled, how to break, how to switch seats from driver to the seated, etc. The experience itself was amazing, full of breathtaking views! The dogs were behaving so well and were pretty easy to drive. However, please be advised that you go in a group, so be patient if someone in front of you is going slower, for whatever reason. Also, don't expect to go extra fast all the time - just take in the views and enjoy the ride. Lastly, the tea and cake in the end felt extra good! We got to meet the senior dog and got to know a bit more about dog-sledding and how the host makes it happens.

Had such a fantastic time with the huskies at Arctic Adventure Tours. The dogs are so loved and well looked after. This is a life changing experience. Loved that you can control the sledge yourself makes you feel like part of the team.

Amazing experience! The guides were helpful and informative. Suits and boots were provided to supplement the clothes; we stayed warm. Petting the dogs before and after was pleasant. Beautiful scenery along the way. Would definitely recommend if you haven’t done this yet! Minor improvement note: guides should encourage more space between teams. It can feel like stop-and-go traffic sometimes. Other than that, amazing time!

It was really amazing to pet all the dog first and then going on the dog sledding tour. It was always a dream of me to do that. It's nice to see how much fun they dogs have when they are running. We recommend it to everyone.

Absolutely book a self-drive husky experience with this company! We were given plenty of information and lots of time to play with the alaskan huskies who are all well taken care of, friendly and unique. The company made the experience very easy to understand and we stopped often to make sure everyone was doing ok/ to swap drivers/ to take photos. The surrounding area is very scenic and makes the experience even more special. Yes, the tours in Norway are relatively expensive (we're from the UK) but we are so glad we did choose to pay for this one.

I had an AMAZING dog-sledding experience. they picked us up from Tromso city centre and it was approximately a half hour drive to the kennel. After reaching there, we were given thermal suits and boots and we could play with the dogs, click pictures and so on. There were around 50 Alaskan huskies, who were very friendly. After that, we started our ride. Each sled was pulled by 6 dogs. I chose to be the driver first, and I have to admit that when the dogs first started moving fast I was terrified! But after that it was a lot of fun. My partner and I took turns being the driver and sitting on the sled. We followed an established track, which was around 12-13 km and it took us around 80 minutes to return to the kennel. There were times when it was freezing and I stopped feeling my toes; but the experience was exhilarating. The guides who were in the first sled, kept a constant pace and also offered to take pictures in the middle. After we came back, there was a hut shaped structure where we were offered tea, coffee and chocolate cake. The main trainer then came and told us a little about the training process in the kennel, and how they interact with the dogs. Overall, it was wonderful and I definitely recommend this activity if you're in the Tromso region.
