Very interesting museum!

good museum with information on local archaeological findings from the melding snow and ice. There is a separate section with a lot of nice information around weather conditions in the mountains. Finally there was an area dedicated to local wildlife with a lot of taxidermied animals. The museum is somewhat small, but still interesting to visit if you are in the area!

This is a very well rounded museum and information center. Loads of free maps, a great photo room that shows the history of local glacial sheets, lots of useful maps (many of which are free), plus a place to get coffee and warm up by a fireplace! Incidentally, everyone speaks English, is super friendly and very informative on all sorts of local things so ask for help if you need extra things to do. They also have info on loads of local hikes that bigger books don’t offer.

Really good and interesting exhibition, although a little pricey to get in. Nice shop and place to relax with an indoor fire.

Norwegian mountain center shows how important the mountain has been for the population in Norway. There are great exhibits and skilled intermediaries. This is a mandatory stop when you are near Lom.

Not a big center, but a nice place for an impression Jotunheimen. Its also nice to hoe the Norwegians keep the (cultural) historical excavation.
