Mauranger Tavern is the perfect spot for budget travelers. Very friendly staff and a good breakfast. The staff was also very flexible about the checkout and the time of departure. Comfortable beds. Sunndal is the perfect starting point for hikers exploring the Folgefonna glacier.

Clean and roomy, and our room had a wonderful view. The breakfast was delicious! The owner was delightful.

Great location for hikes and day trips to Odda and Rosendal. The facilities are basic, but nice. Staff was very friendly. I can recommend this place.
My wife and I traveled to Bondhus from Bergen to see Bondhusbreen. It was later in the afternoon and we were far from any food we knew of. But we were starving! This was the only place we could see that was open and sold food. The atmosphere is cozy and clean. The woman there (not sure if the owner or employee) was very accommodating and made us some fried fish even though the kitchen was closed. We all sat and talked about Norway and the US. She showed us a lot of hospitality, and filled out bellies before a long drive back to the city!
We wanted to have breakfast but the staff told us that they are not working as a restaurant for visitors, only for groups with reservation. We were dissapointed as the sign says that they do work as a cafe/restaurant.
Great view, but houses are quite small
