I had the glass noodles with chicken and scampi, the sauce was perfectly mixed and the veggies were previously grilled which is something I never saw before, in other asian cuisine restaurants, they stir fry the veggies, however at Saigon Mat & Sushi they grill the veggies, this gives an extra super tasty flavor to this magnificent noodle dish. Unbelievable delicious with geerous portions of chicken and scampi, really a favorite. ️

OK food, very domesticated flavours. Ordered Beef Chopsuey as this has become my eview dish\ to compare with other Asian food restaurants and it did not taste bad, but not spectacular either. Sort of bland. Good quality beef though! The place was half full on a Wednesday afternoon so it seems quite popular with the locals. Service was good, staff was polite and smiling. The restaurant seats roughly 30 people and provides takeaway which seems like the most popular option. Location wise it has adequate parking and is wheelchair accessible as the entire restaurant is on the ground floor with no steps at all. I gave 3 stars in stead of 4 due to the pricing as it was a bit on the expensive side for what you got and the taste. Quality and hygiene wise I have no issues going back for seconds.

The food was excellent. We requested them to custom make their vegetarian dishes vegan and they did so very well. After our meal, the head chef came out to apologise because he had cooked the food in the same oil as meat even though all the other ingredients were vegan. He said that we could request that they use fresh oil the next time we would go there. I personally don't care about what oil they use and would not expect or request it. I just really appreciate the honesty. The staff was very friendly too.
