Pleasant museum with educational exhibits, mostly taxidermied animals in displays that mimics their natural habitats. Also, some fossils and a T-Rex skeleton. Free entry on every Thursday except during school holidays. Currently, only the zoological exhibit is open, the geological building is being refurbished and will reopen in 2022.

This museum is a great place in Olso to visit. They have really huge collection of animals pictures and statues. The animal gallery looks amazing with very fine details. Its a best place for kids to enjoy.

Such an awesome place to visit. Disappointing that half is closed, but what was open was amazing to see. Had a wonderful time learning new things and seeing everything up close. This should definitely be on your list of places to go whilst visiting. And make sure you stop by the greenhouses too!

Very cool to have on your checklist! A lot of animals you'd never see elsewhere, the fossils are less than what you can see at other Natural History Museums, but truly a good experience to have while in Oslo! Outside the museum are the Botanic Gardens and this is especially something to check out! Been here twice and it's always fun! :)

I have to say I visited this in wintertime and they were doing all kind of renovations. So it might be quite different later. That said, the museum was nice. I really like the diorama style exhibition like they do in the New York Natural history museum. The museum itself is not that big (again, might have to do with the timing of my visit). Stuffed animals, dinosaur skeletons, quite some interesting geological stuff with stones you can touch.

I reccomend this museum to all nature lovers. There are 3 floors with detailed expositions. 1 floor - dinosaurs, fossils and crystalls. 2 floor - animals of all the world, 3 floor - some prehistoric animals, including the primitive human forms. Kids can play there too. Nice shop with staffed animals.
