This branch certainly stood out from under the Sabi banner, and pleasantly surprised us with a high-quality dine-in experience. The superb seafood source allowed the sashimi to take the centre stage, especially the toro and hamachi, with warm sushi rice serving as a great compliment.

A very disappointing takeaway experience - poor quality rolls, no chopsticks, no soya sauce, no napkins - and Sabi Sushi Frogner charged 180,-NOK for this terrible experience of 16 pieces. I usually get takeaway from Sabi Sushi Fornebu - and they have an amazing customer service, the first time I got takeaway from Sabi Sushi Frogner was yesterday and it is extremely disappointing, a shame that the manager cannot keep up the same standard as at Fornebu

Dry chicken teriyaki and spicy crayfish that was supposed to be gratinated, but wasn't. Ok service, but rather middle of the road kitchen that didn't impress. USD 50 for to snack dishes with a glass of apple juice and a glass of alcohol free beer are what, I would consider, extremely poor value for your money. Had the food been really remarkable and good it could have been justified, in reality it was just barely passable. This is Norway in a nutshell in so many ways. Mediocre and expensive.

Best sushi experience ever. I was surprised to find something this great here, but the Sushi was simply at a higher level than any other I've had. And I've been around the world to eat Sushi. Every piece was made into an art of taste. No thin slices to save fish.. here everything's made for fixing up your tongue with the wonders of Japanese cuisine. If I am going to say something about the experience that I might disagree with the chef on; I personally like salmon sashimi better with soy sauce than the ponzu sauce. The ponzu sauce however, really drives the yellowtail and the tuna to a different level. This Sushi experience now ranks as The best food experience I have ever had. And that is coming from a food and Sushi lover. I highly recommend this restaurant. Even the prices are sensible. Go for it!
