Teknovatøren was founded in 2010 and is a biannual semi-scientific journal of innovation and technology studies. Since autumn 2013 we have offered an iPad edition of the journal, in addition to the print and web circulation. The magazine is supported by the Centre for Technology, Innovation and Culture (TIK), at the University of Oslo, and is produced by the graduate students at this centre. Awarded "student publication of the year", 2013, University of Oslo. Teknovatøren wishes to be a forum for technology and innovation studies, and with this increase public knowledge of these diverse fields of studies. Teknovatoren also acts as an important portal for students to exhibit and practice journalistic writing – a style of writing that is scarce in academia. Furthermore, Teknovatøren seeks to be a social and academic unifier amongst the students, and to unite the field of studies both domestic and abroad.
