It’s such an unforgettable memory we have in Happy Tails Husky Tours! We truly enjoy this unique experience with healthy and energetic huskies in this beautiful snowy land. Looking forward to next adventure with Grant and the huskies again!

We had an excellent day of dog sledding with Grant and the huskies at Happy Tails. During the day we got to feed the puppies, meet all the dogs, help set-up the sled, and of course got to try our hand at being a dog musher. The scenery was incredible, and the dogs were having a great time! Grant was clearly very passionate about what he does, and it was a very well organised day, with all necessary equipment provided for the tour. We specifically chose Happy Tails as it offers a much more personalised experience, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone visiting the area.

I had a great trip with them. The guys are very friendly and helpful. The location offers a great view on Tromsø.

We visited Happy Tails in Tromsø during our cruise around Norway. If I could give more than five stars I would!!! 10/5 Grant and Cathrin were fantastic! They are very friendly and went way above and beyond anything we could ever have expected to accommodate us, including my disabled mother, and made our visit to their house/kennel, in fact Tromsø as a whole, a very special one. We enjoyed a personal hands on experience with four of Happy Tails' newest recruits, 6-7 month old 'pups' as well as two older dogs. 12 year old Brave was taken in by Grant and Cathrin from a larger commercial kennel, after discovering he had scarring on his lungs, and he now happily retired at Happy Tails. The dogs at Happy Tails are not just dogs. They are family. They are well looked after and not made to 'work' until exhausted. They run different routes to keep the dogs from becoming bored and they are not chained up at kennels. If you want a commercial enterprise where dozens of people can see a multitude of chained up dogs made to run the same, boring, circuit all day then Happy Tails is not for you. If, on the other hand, you want a personal tour from a family run kennel with happy, well looked after, dogs look no further! Thanks again for everything and I sincerely hope that we can visit again soon. We wish you all the best

We loved the dogs and the dog sledding experience and highly recommend it to all, who want an experience aside the mainstream dog sledding tours. Grant picked us up from our hotel and dropped us back off after our day. We got to meet Grants Huskies at his house and we drove up to his land to meet the rest of the pack. We were able to help harness the dogs, hydrate them before the run and cuddle them a lot. They were extremely friendly and happy to be with us. Once we got all the dogs ready to go out, we spent a while on the track. Unfortunately it had been snowing a lot on the days before our tour and therefor we experienced a bit more difficult conditions than usual. Nontheless, we both were able to enjoy being a musher for a while and the dogs seemed to really love it. We will make sure to give Grant a call, if we are ever in the area again. We cannot wait to see Maggie, Storm, McGubbins, Scroffens, the team and Grant again. Thank you for the great day!

I cannot recommend Grant and Happy Tails Husky Tours enough. My fiancé and I were visiting Tromso in January and wanted to experience dog sledding while we were there. I did a ton of research and somehow stumbled across Happy Tails and I am so thankful I did. I wasn't comfortable going with a husky farm with 200 dogs, I would rather go somewhere where I know for certain the dogs are cared and adored for. After emailing back and fourth with Grant for a few days (he has an amazingly fast response time) he made sure that he was able to schedule us for a private tour. When we arrived at the house, he introduced us to each of the dogs and it was so clear that they were ready to run! They were so excited! We packed up and headed to the trail. Grant showed us how to harness the dogs which was amazing. My fiancé and I took turns driving the sled and followed Grant on his sled. The entire experience was amazing from start to finish and I cannot recommend Grant or Happy Tails enough. Truly incredible experience. When we pulled out of the drive, we agreed that this world could use more Grants.

If you are looking for a personal and non- touristic dog sledding adventure you can‘t go wrong with Grant and his Huskies. You can help to prepare the sled, spend a lot of time with the dogs and after a great long ride on the trails you can feed the Huskies. We loved the experience with Grant, Maja, Storm, Maggie and the other lovely Huskies.
