well-curated collection of Sámi clothing, artifacts incl. open-air area showcasing old Sámi homes. especially the various meanings and symbolism attached to traditional garb are well explained and the collection is remarkable spanning a wide range geographically and in time all housed in an austere, modern building

The focus is clearly on local (Norway, Sami,...) visitors which reflects in limited number of English explanations. Nevertheless the exhibits are quite interesting and in good shape.

Great place to learn about the Sami culture. We really learned a lot from the exhibition and the people working there were very friendly and willing to answer all our questions about the Sami. Many thanks from Belgium!

Very authentic and detailed but neat and compact exposition of sami culture with a small showing farmstead. Attention - there are seasonal opening hours (see picture)

Wonderful and passionate host, dedicated to her Sami heritage. A fantastic people's who deserve much more understanding and appreciation than they've historically had. Rich in culture, a resilient and talented society, very deserving of their place on earth.

So much history among the sami people, I really wished the museum could get more funding to do an even better display of their rich culture. Many of the huts outside were locked, but the three we visited was really authentic and well built! It would also be great if there were more explaining posters around.
