Well worth visiting this jewel of a place in Norway. The actual ascend to the top is done in a couple of hours. On a sunny day with two kids and a couple of stops along the way we used about 3 hours to the top. It’s worth stopping up now and then to soak in the fantastic nature that surrounds this area. We also spent a couple of nights at Heddersvatn (at the bottom of the mountain) in a tent. It is possible to fish in the waters. Facilities- such as toilets and water is available nearby.

Great for disabled people to see a beautiful mountain top view. There are still stairs which may cause issues for some. But being able to catch a train up and through the mountain was both exciting, and gave me a once in a lifetime opportunity. There was also a really good waffle place on top. Where the food tasted amazing. However it was card only.
Amazing hike :)
Very warm and friendly place. Very welcoming. Stunning views!
Good facility at that height.
Very interesting and exciting way up! Beautiful views, especially on the top. You can skiing, walking... But you should be prepared: sunglasses, cap are very important throughout the snow desert:)
Great hike up here and really nice with a hot cacao and vaffel ️
Gaustatoppen turisthytte is at the top of the Mt. Gaustatoppen. «Gaustatoppen is the highest mountain in the county Telemark in Norway who lies in the municipality Tinn and Hjartdal. The view from the summit is impressive, as one can see an area of approximately 60,000 km², one sixth of Norway's mainland.»- Wikipedia
