I got lucky with the weather whilst staying here. The village is beautiful and so tranquil, was a stop as part of the Ryfylke scenic route road trip. The host is very friendly and helpful, best to book direct. We stayed in one of the two apartments and it is comfortable with everything we needed. Note: this is part of a camping site and as with most European camping sites you bring your own bed linens and towels and clean before you leave. There is an option to pay for these of course. Very quiet town with limited culinary options so best to shop from the local supermarket and make your own food at home. But that’s not why we were there!

Beautiful located, supermarket nearby. River flows next to campsite towards rhe lake which is great for (fly) fishing. Stayed 3 nights in a cabin, which is fully equiped with bath/ toilet, cooking facilities and fridge. Surely recommend this place, which is nice also to put up a tent or campervan. Owner is supernice and very welcoming! Thank you for having us!
We have stayed for 3 nights at this camping and it was great! Very friendly camping owner, new and clean sanitairy and just a very relaxing place. Supermarket was just around the corner. Definitely recommend this camping to anyone else!
Amazing campsite ! Very clean and modern facilities, great free WiFi and a brand new, superbly clean and furnished kitchen for the rainy days. Bonus : very cheap ! A success
Saltvold Camping is located in Røldal, and beside a 13. century stave church. The owner is very accommodating and friendly. There is a new sanitarian building with showers and toilet in one part and a kitchen beside that. The kitchen has microwave oven, coffee brewer, cooktop and oven, washing machine and a tumble dryer. Everything is neat and clean. There is WiFi with a strong and fast connection all over the campsite. I would camp there again.

For a hike we wanted to leave our car there for 1 week.The owner told us that this was not a problem and it costs 15 NOK per day. When we wanted to pay a week later, the owner suddenly said that the cost is NOK 75 per day. When we told him that the deal was 15 NOK, he said: No 50 NOK that's what he told us in the beginning. This is very poor behavior.If he had set a higher price from the beginning - no problem. But breaking the agreement afterwards is highly unprofessional.
