Run by ROAR, friendly and funny norwegian man who only accept the room booking by phone. This place has amazing backdrop to the lighthouse, also wooden paddle boat provided for free to use to explore still waters around the wharf. Vivid aurora spotted on just simply made this a perfect stay!

Simply the best experience ever, even though it is 10 years ago I was there. Roar made it very speciel and the way we are divided into groups by age was just great. I made friends there I still have.

Magical place. Possibly the cheapest and most authentic place in Lofoten. A bed costs only 170 NOK, some rooms have ocean view and in the kitchen you have the possibility to cook on a wood-fired oven. Reservation only by telephone and you have to pay cash.

After 12 years, I am steadily dreaming of going back there, remembering the pure air, the silence, the one step into the ocean which was transparent and calm like a mirror, the old fisherman opening his house and heart for especially young people coming from all over the world, cooking and eating together, such a peaceful place! I came with my young family and stayed in a clean and cosy cottage.

Due to unexpected weather we had to take a night in the hostel. The staff is funny, kind, cordial and really helpful. The hostel has an awesome flair (wood stove, guitars) and absolutely fair prices (bring your sleeping bag liners). You even can borrow a small rowing boat. Next time we make a trip to the Lofoten, we definitely spend a night in this hostel again :).

I would describe this as the funky nexus of the Lofoten Islands. It's a classic backpackers hostel with a great location and a huge communal kitchen / dinning room. It's probably the cheapest place to sleep indoors in all of Lofoten Islands. The owner is a character out of a movie with plenty of stories and advice but he might not introduce himself as the owner so keep an eye out for an older guy who is likely to start talking to you out of the blue. Also look for the nearby WWII ruins.

This is by far the best hostel I've ever been to! It is located in really old houses at the dock, and the rooms are very beautiful and comfortable: the two living rooms are big enough to accommodate several persons eating at the same time. The atmosphere is very friendly an in more than one occasion we shared the food together at dinner. During the four days I was there I met people from France, Switzerland, Canada, US, England, Spain, Germany and Italy as myself. The owner of the hostel, Roar, is quite a curious man, and if you ask him you can also rent one of the boats to go fishing. I really hope to come back here soon: maybe next year, who knows?
