The most professionally prepared slopes in More og Romsdal. In heavy snowfall a great place for offpiste skiing.
Drove up to the top, as part of a group with special permit. Spectacular views from the top! Get up via the cable car, and have your lunch/dinner at the restaurant up top. Most likely great skiing in winter!
Very very good, but also very popular. That makes it so there are long queus to get on the lifts. They can also make more jumps! But overall a very nice place for skiing!

Lovely experience especially with all the snow
Great views, also open Gondola in summer. Almost never waiting time for the chairlift /Gondola. Reasonable prices for one day ski lift - card. Brand new express chair lifts /Gondola. Possible to experience powder paradise. Endless off piste possibilities, and very open landscape with almost no trees to be aware of. This resort also cooperate with ski taxi service, where after a 4km off piste route from the Gondola /Roalden takes you to a food store (SPAR) down town after a 10-15 min off piste ride. At a rate of 70 kr pr person (minimum of 3 * 70kr) a taxi will take you back to the bottom of the ski resort. You can also find great deals including ski day ticket /pass including breakfast and hotel room, at the only Hotel in "town". The hotel is newly refurbished, and even has a swimming pool for the kids. The hotel is down town, and not up at the ski resort (some 8km away) This Gondola is a real competitor to Loen skylift in the summer, with equally beautiful views, but a lot less expensive for the ride up and down, and close to Geiranger via Hellesylt. If you visit during nice summer days, there is also a big chance to see paragliders, if the wind is not too strong. And as you can see from the photos, the views are absolutely stunning. Also, Stranda "city" is kind of charming, and a good place to stay / be based to explore the west coast area.
