Hystadmarka is a protected nature reserve, it has a really beautiful fairytale-ish forest and small rocky beaches which are great for kids (though you might want to bring some shoes due to the sharp rocks). There's also an ancient cemetery there for victims of a cholera epidemic a few hundred years ago which is worth visiting. Walking is easy, and people of all ages can easily access the beaches.
