Good for kids
Great for small kids! It is a small zoo, just like the name implies, and is a great way to spend 1-2 hrs if you are staying nearby or want to break up a longer car trip between ie Oslo and Southern Norway. You get to visit almost all animals in their own pen, making the experience even more special for kids and adults alike.

Great little place! You get to go in with the monkeys and snakes! So cute! And they have some ok food at a decent price. Great little stop, especially with kids.
Evrn though it is small, it has quite the selection of animals, both big and small. The big butterflies in the snake section was a nice surprise.
Very nice little place, a much nicer experience than other larger zoos. Lots of interesting animals walking around in a nice shared space. The aquarium is also worth seeing, with a small variety of interesting fish, and a large anaconda.
Great zoo! Very kid friendly as it is in a small area, not requiering a ton of walking. Also, it has a kid playground, a gas grill that can be used to cook food that you have brought with you, free of charge, a nice, small resturant, clean toilets and awesome service. And, of course, the rainforest is incredible!
This “The Small Zoo” (translated) is a great park to visit on your way to southern part of Norway. To be such a small zoo, they have a broad selection of animals, from more local kind to very much exotic animals. Children in especially age group 4-12 will love this place. Have fun!
Great little experience, you get to come really close to these animals, the monkeys and lemurs especially.
