Very clean beautiful place, very nice owner.
Solstrand camping was our last stop on our tour through Norway last summer. We hadn't planned to stay there but the campground we had phoned up earlier in the day told us that they hadn't any more spots available after all. After a long day of driving with the kids, we were feeling a bit worried. That's when we phoned up Solstrand. Their friendly staff found us a spot to accommodate our five-person tent when we most needed it. The campgrounds are fairly quiet and not only have a lovely view of the water, but two access points as well. Most important for us were the clean restrooms and showering rooms and the large playground (including a somewhat old mini-golf course). There was even a comfortable kitchen/dining area with a sofa, tables and chairs. There is also an affordable canoe rental option. You can rent a canoe and paddle out the sandbar (at low tide, you can walk out to it; children will need to swim a short distance). Our kids had tons of fun. We truly enjoyed the friendly family atmosphere and could really relax and enjoy our time there thanks to the kind staff and fellow campers. The only drawback, in our opinion, was that the showering rooms were frequently occupied. Since we didn't have a time crunch, it didn't really impact us too much. I would recommend Solstrand Camping to anyone planning on visiting the South of Norway.
Big place with lot's of fixed caravans but nice little field in a corner for campers/tents with nice view over the water. Before 15 June it is low season so we had a quiet time. Some small sand beaches and playground for kids.
Clean, quiet, nice view
The best cabin offer for this money (700 NOK) in Norway. The cabin is equipped with everything necessary: \u200b\u200bsleeping places (4 on the ground floor and 3 on the roof), kitchen, shower with toilet, TV and free Wi-Fi. Also not far from the camping there is a wonderful bay where you can take a walk or to fish.
