This former NATO-facility is incredible with a spectacular view. Even the drive to the starting point of the tramway is an amazing attraction. Be aware that the queue down can be very long, anything from 20 minutes (no queue) to 2 hours wait is normal. Waiting in a poor lit and damp mine tunnel is not that pleasant, but it is totally worth it. Wear clothes suitable for the weather and conditions, it can be very cold and windy.

An extraordinary experience riding by cable car to the mountain top (Gaustadtoppen) inside the mountain!
Quite unique experience and comfortable alternative to hiking for hours. Parking for free to users of Gaustabanen. We liked it a lot, but we need to subtract one star because of the really high ticket price.
The view was amazing and the train journey is so great too. Beautiful spot for trekking.
This was an amazing opportunity for me as a disabled person. You can catch a train up and inside the mountain which is a fun and exciting experience on it's own. This gives you a chance to experience the amazing view of so much of Norway from the top of the mountain. Which I otherwise would not have been able to experience. There is also a very good waffle house up there too.
Awesome and unique experience to enjoy a train inside the mountain which goes 850m inside straight into the mountain and then 1030m (vertical) to the top of the mountain. Takes 15min to reach to the top point and you can enjoy hot waffles in the cafe there. Do check the weather before you go there as it can change rapidly.
