It's a beautiful church, but it's not a cathedral. It's big and spacious, but it's more impressive from the outside. It's also more beautiful from the outside. But still it's worth a visit. The location is perfect w especially if you cross the bridge by foot. In winter (we don't know for the other seasons), there are concerts on several days. Recommended. If you like my review, the please 'like' it.

August 1, 2019: We enjoyed a classical music performance at the Arctic Cathedral during the wee hours of the night (1-2 am). When we came out of the church, the midnight sun was still up. There was nobody on the streets, but shops in the business section of the Tromsdalen neighbourhood were still all lit up. It was quite an experience !!!

It's a stunning landmark visible from the island. It's really nice there during the choirs in the Student Society Driv's Christmas concert, usually in the shift from November December.
