Been there to spot the Northern lights. This place is quiet, safe, dark enough to see the Aurora! If you want to see the Northern lights, Norway and Iceland is famous for "can see well but not cold" place.

This makes me wanna move here So beautiful during our fall-visit, not to crowded and just calming to just walk around and take nature in
A very beautiful lake . It was frozen and people were ice skating and place ice hockey with their families
The trail around Prestvannet is lovely and it is so accessible by bus from where we live. If you live on the island it is even easier to get to most likely. I hopped off a random bus one day when I saw tons of people ice skating on the lake and bought skates that day There are also places that loan skate equipment for free in the city.
Minus 20 degrees and ice crystals in the air. Perfect. Walk across it on a still February day to test your cold weather gear.
Nice walking place. Good for jogging and birdwatching. Very attractive in winter with spectacular views of the surrounding mountains.
We enjoyed the walk up there and around the lake, with some cracking views, but the circuit path was not that obvious to follow. May just have been the snow, but needs better signage.
A huge park with a lake and an ideal place to walk your dog! There are lots of birds - pigeons, gulls and ducks and constantly quaking! A lot of the seats are covered with bird poop! so if you are not a nature lover and all, this wont be the place for you. If you are on a vacation in Tromso and have a rest day, then you can visit this place, its calm and serene. Also a good park to run if you are into fitness!
