Very cheap. 3 washers and 3 dryers available (1 of each is very large). Very easy to use. Room itself isn't very clean but it isn't horrific.

More than a doubling in prices since last year, but no increase in quality of service. Some of the dryers don't dry correctly or don't work. Don't know if the automatic soap works or ever has

Was realy dirty in there, no place to fold your laundry and the automatic soap dispenser in washing machine no. 3 wasn't working. The dryer no. 4 did only run for around 5 min, changed to no. 2 and this one is finally runnig as it should. Defi tily use Mikes tips further down below. Payment only by card. Contactless did not work with my card.

It is one of two self service laundry places we could find as we did an extended Norway in a Nutshell tour. It is at the bottom store front area of an apartment building. It looks like it is a laundry spot for the building, but it is a business with a posted business sign and hours (0700-2100). Clean. Small and large washers are 25 and 40 nok respectively. Small and large dryers are 5 and 10. Accepts credit cards. Bring your own soap. Not busy. Great find!

This was a great find (July 2019) but a little tough to use. There are two different card readers for the machines. One is for machines 1 to 4 and the other is for machines 5 and 6. Machine number 5 is the large washing machine and number 6 is the large dryer. The washers self fill on detergent, but not bleach or softener. You need to scroll through with the arrows to select the machine you want. The instructions are in Norwegian. It will say “velg maskin ”. This means “select machine”. Use the arrows then press “ok”. It will then prompt you insert your credit card and give you 60 seconds to finalize your selections hot or old water, or low or high for the dryer respectively. For the washing Machine you need to select either colored (farget) or white (hvitt). For the dryers it is normal or low. The big dryer runs about 10 minutes for each payment (1.75 at today’s exchange rate). Still way cheaper than a hotel. Also “vask” means wash and “tork” means dry. One weird thing to note with the big dryer. The system will count down from six or seven minutes before you can use it again. Apparently, the system gets too hot so you can’t actually run it twice in a row. You can run it once and the system counts down before you can run it again. So don’t get frustrated and think you’re doing something wrong. You’re not. The system won’t let you restart it until a few minutes has elapsed (1:40 in the picture). It took about 1:15 minutes to do the laundry. While the washer runs you can walk up to the main drag for 30-40 minutes if you have to do some shopping. Good luck—it is really hot in there!

Wash and dry all your clothes for 30 Kr! Or you can pay your hotel 50 Kr to wash one pair of your boxers. They accept MasterCard and Visa and I found it easy to use once I finally found the pay machine - see picture. 25 Kr to wash and 5 Kr to dry.

While challenging to operate thanks to Mike's review it was fairly easy. If you want to succeed here follow Mike's instructions. Thanks Mike.
