After having a snow mobile accident in Jan 2020 I was taken to this hospital and due to the nature of my injuries I was told in was lucky to be alive. I could not have asked for better care I received from the docs and nurses they got me ready to be able to fly back home so I could start my recovery thank you all that looked after me

During an August, 2018 Hurtigruten cruise my wife became ill and we had to leave the ship on the southbound portion. We were amazingly fortunate regarding timing to have arrived at Tromso. Big city. The University Hospital and staff were wonderful; very efficient and knowledgeable. Very large, with specialists, MRI's, X-rays, EEG's, etc. and two hundred miles north of the Arctic Circle! We did not have travel insurance and had to pay out of pocket including two nights in the hospital. The bill came two months later to our home in the US totaling about 3.5K. I actually was expecting 20K or more. (your results may vary). This charge included the ambulance ride from the ship. I had to ride in a cab behind her. I stayed in a very nice attached hotel. When she was discharged, we flew directly back to Bergen (about 350 pp) to finish our journey. Big airport, many flights.
My father is under treatment in this hospital, first God and Second doctors in this hospital saved his life. God bless you All
They took care of my mother, an American tourist on vacation when she needed help with pain due to her cancer. They treated my parents with the utmost care and respect. They were able to help her get well enough to come back to the US. I will be eternally grateful to the staff who cares for my parents.
