Nice small museum. If you're in Vardø you should go there. It is small but you will get all the answers about trade between Norway/Finnmark and Russians. They have lot of things on display. Opening hours were 16-17 in the winter time (from end of August )(2019). Very friendly staff.

Interesting to learn about the people from present day Russia who lived and traded along the coast of the Barents sea.

Right place to visit in Vardø! Here you can find valueble and broad information about the history of friendship and cooperation between russian and norwegian people around the border. Museum has a lot of documents and photos from that time, original sailing and fishing tools, clothes and interiors from the very beginning til the end of that special period of history of our countries and people! I totally recommend everyone visiting this place!

A little education about the relationship between the Norwegian and Russian coastal trade. They've even put in a small cottage inside the museum.
