Instead of 2, we ended up staying 8 nights here: it was amazing! Beautiful place, view of the fjord, northern lights and the glacier!! We came in the middle of winter with our campervan, but the owner did everything to make us comfortable. He's the most generous host, always in for a chat, always there to help you out! We enjoyed joining him and the neighbours on their daily walks and felt very welcome. Accommodations are great and clean, we ate the best fish and chips here too :) definitely recommend staying here, many things to go explore from here too; close to the ferry, 10 minute drive from a shop, boat rental from the campsite - perfect!

Very friendly owner and good camping. There is a very small kitchen with 3 chairs and a table, two sinks. Fortunately, we were the only ones to use it that night. We were hoping there would be a common area with a couch or similar, so you can hang out inside and relax when the weather is bad (especially important for tent people). There isn‘t. There is lots of seating at the reception, but nothing you want to sit in for a longer time. We paid 275 NOK without electricity for a car with a roof tent, with electricity it would have been 350NOK. Shower is included which we really liked. All was clean and paper towels were provided. Washing costs 50NOK each for the washer and the dryer (this was the most expensive we‘ve come across so far- would recommend to do it somewhere else). There was washing powder (which we didn‘t need because we brought our own) and also some racks to hang up clothes that don‘t go in the dryer, which was good. We also tried the fish&chips since it was recommended by a lot of people here and we sure were not disappointed!! Local fish, homemade remoulade and nicely seasoned fries for 195NOK, good portion. 4 stars because all in all it was rather pricy, kitchen was very small, common area missing.

An amazing place for fisher(wo)men, aurora hunters, chillout lovers, and probably anyone who's searching for an escape from their everyday life. We come back to Polarcamp whenever possible, attracted by its location, standard and lovely service. 100% recommended!

We arrived at Polarcamp in March 2021 when Covid was still going strong and the holiday- season hadn't start yet, but luckily Polarcamp was open and everything was in perfect shape! We planned on staying 2 nights but ended up staying 7! Ståle, the owner, is a most generous host and goes to great length to give you the best experience possible. He really makes the difference! He knows his way around the area, knows all the best spots and is really passionate about Polarcamp and the whole area. We got to meet a bunch of locals while the dropped in and out every now and then! This is typical for the way Ståle runs Polarcamp, everybody is welcome all the time, he's always in for some chitchat and some jokes, and when you are there there's little chance you will leave soon. From our 5 month trip through Norway staying a week in Polarcamp is one we surely won't easily forget. Highly recommended!

The camp owner was super friendly and supportive. We arrived late with our bikes. Unfortunately cold and wet from the rain. We had reserved a cabin in advance and he offered us a free upgrade to a bigger appartment with nice rooms and a warm shower inside. That was awesome and the right thing for that evening. We can only recommend the camp!

Excellent service! Helpful on arrival with tips on what to see and what to do. Cabin was clean and in a good standard. Staff went beyond expectations to help with logistics of picking up the car after missing a ferry. Highly recommended. Popular place during the summer, remember to book in advance!
