Currently closed as of the first of September, but your heart still can feel it heavy and you sighed for a few times. Prepare yourself. Beautiful neighbourhood, easy to access from the tube.

Deeply impressive museum on the tragic events of July 22, 2011 in Norway. Heartbreaking to see the photos, names and ages of 72 of the 77 that lost their life that day due to the cruelties of one fellow Norwegian man. Unbelievable to see the actual security camera footage showing how calmly he parked the bus under the building and walked away just to see everything explode minutes later. To read how the events took place during that day. To hear the stories of people that have been there and survived. To see the actual police badge he forged and which gave him the trust to be taken by boat to Utoya. Unbelievable.
The Center of the 22. of July 2011 attacks should be visited by anyone interested im understanding the actions and motives behind this horrible day. You will see Interviews with Survivors, a Timeline of the events and parts of the verdict spoken in court 2012. It provides a great way to remember those affected by the attacks but also shows how to move on from here.
Very well done center. As an American I didn’t know much about the 22nd of July shooting other than it happened. I would highly recommend you visit this memorial to learn about what happened and to truly understand the motives behind what could make a person do something as horrible as this.
It was extremely emotional and raw. Truly let's you feel and understand the devastation.
Strong experience. The museum is describing what happened on the 22. Of July. Absolutely worth a visit before they have to move it or close it down
I really appreciate the museum, especially for the pictures and the video that was showed inside
I cannot stress enough how sad and tense the story this museum shows you... For whoever wants to learn something about modern Norway, this place will put you in a lot of thinking, I TOTALLY recommend it!
