I rented a car for a week, and 1 year later they billed me 475 NOK for a parking ticket with zero proof. The only proof they have provided is a Hertz receipt. The 'administrative fee' to pay is 4x how much the actual ticket costs. They stopped responding when I asked for proof of the parking ticket.

I rented a Hertz vehicle in Bergen, Norway. The car was great and experience ran smoothly. However, I left behind an expensive item in the vehicle and it took over a week to be able to get in contact with the airport to let them know, at which time they reported cleaning crew had not found the item although I am certain that it was there. The man I spoke to was friendly on the phone but there should be a better process in place for lost items. I should have easily been able to retrieve this item.
Excellent service. Clean low mileage car. Volvo does not have auto braking when set to cruise control downhill! Awful shock to see the vehicle speed up
It was the worst experience ever. Don’t rent your car here. They provide “service” for Thrifty and is located in the US so It is hard to get customer service and Hertz is only providing the service for thrifty but they have absolute no way to contact or help you if you have any problems with your booking or car. They don’t even have your number.... Overall if you need a car, book your car directly with someone else, but never with thrifty. Bad service from Hertz and Thrifty
We got our vehicle as reserved online. We even got a better car than expected: a brand new VW Up. We put many, many kilometers on her in the week that we had her. In any case, we would reserve and rent a car with this Hertz office if (when) we come back to Norway through the Bergen airport.
The service was great when we picked up the car. The car we rented had previous damage and was noted on the lease. Hindsight, never ever agree to a car with previous damage. In addition to the recorded damage we took a picture with our iPhone. It recorded the date and time of the damage when we got the car. So...a month later we keep seeing charges on our credit card for 400 dollars. We contact the credit card and tell them we didn’t rent a car on those days. We had to cancel the card because if repeated charges. Just received an email stating we damaged the car and this is the reason for the repeated charges. So I sent them a copy of the rental agreement and showing the car had a recorded damage notification. Haven’t heard back since the email. Feel like this is a bait and switch. Let’s rent a damaged car then charge them for the damage. We purchased the car rental insurance so this is especially suspicious. Hope this helps
If zero star is an option, I definitely choose ‘zero star’. Here is the long story: the given car was not the same as booked, anyway, we took it. We returned the car on 29/6 17:15 and parked it at a parking lot just 10 foot-steps in front of the hertz parking office booth, we asked the hertz staff (working inside the parking booth) wether we should give him the key or leave the key in the car, he said it is ok to leave it in the car and he will check the car later, so we didn’t pull out the key, leaving the key in the key-hole as told and left to catch our flight. Few days later, I received an email from hertz, asking us where the key was. Funny enough, right? Anyway, I replied them by email, telling them the location of the key. No surprise, they found the key and sent me an invoice by email. Too surprise, the returned date was dated 30/6 17:00. That means, Hertz had charged us one more day. Can anyone believe a so-called “reputable” international car rental company like HERTZ would make such low-level mistake? Before this rental, I won’t. But from now on, I do believe, especially HERTZ at BERGEN airport. Though I reported this low-level mistake to them by email, however still nil response at the time of submitting this “comment”. If such a small amount of extra charge is used to exchange the reputation of Hertz , I would say, they forced me to earn.
