Good beautiful located place. Lots of tracks that range from children, beginners, pros, etc. Related stores, groceries, restaurants, cafes. Many accomodation although all very expensive. Hemsedal, the little village is 2km from it. Not good access from Oslo.. 3 hours to make less than 200kms.

Place is awesome...stuff at the reception not really friendly.with a membership from Oslo we suppose to have free access, but due to their bureaucracy we have to pay twice.well done people will never comeback here

Beautiful nature! The fauna and flora is amazing. Very friendly and nice service at Hemsedal Staven Lodge Apartments. The rooms were cleaned and comfortable. One - point, the restaurant's are very expensive !
Skicenter offers great variety of skiing levels and tracks, both piste and offpiste. Most of the piste is facing east, så the place usually have snow till late april. Best afterski in norway is found here. The resort is very much commercialized, but its a lot of fun if you have the money. The ticket counter kinda sucks tho, so i you have a valid skipass do buy the ticket beforehand online to save up to 20-30 minutes if you are unlucky. Also, the queues were badly handled regarding the ongoing pandemic last time I was there, so do avoid having to get this manually in first morning hours.
The best skiing holiday ever ! From the start to the end ,enjoyed every min there ,skiing instructor was perfect ,the apartment was great ,the food at the bar was lovely ,10/10 ,gonna come back for sure
