Museum covering Norwegian rural folk life over the ages. Inside exhibition of artifacts of farming and folk costumes, outside there are historic buildings and houses that have been moved to the site. Well done guided tour was enlivened by a ninety year old lady who lived the old ways and has seen all changes to modern times.

Excellent visit. Very interesting and the guides were brilliant. Really enjoyed singing a Norwegian song in the old school.
Interesting museum which also managed to keep the kids entertained!
Good collection little information on the individual items
A place well worth a visit, see how people lived as far back as the 17 th century with a tour of the old buildings and and an educational commentary and a lovely lunch with the home made soup excellent.
Great museum with well informed staff. Great place to get a working knowledge of the people who have built modern Norway . You can never know a country until you know its people.
Great folk museum with a fantastic collection of objects from Norway's past. Our kids loved it, and the houses from the 16th an 17th century were interesting. A must see!
It was so interesting and the little \talks\ given were informative and fun.
