The best way to arrive Kristiansund is definitely by boat. The city is built on several islands, providing a natural harbor in the middle. It’s truly fascinating to navigate only a few meters from buildings and full overview of the city areas. My tip to new visitors/ travelers is to checkout the passenger boats of “Hurtigruten” which stops here both ways on it’s route between along Norwegian coast line from Bergen (south) to Kirkenes and back.
