Probably being spoilt by the services in Americas national park centres, I am deeply disappointed in the information I was given regarding hiking (or in fact I was NOT given). If you want to explore the national parks by hiking, there is no information the staff can give you whatsoever. The tourist info at the gas station points at the NP visitor centre and the other way around. If you ask for tips you dont get any serious tips. Obviously, Blafjella is not easy to hike since it is mostly swampland, but even this is not mentioned and the staff wouldnt discourage you from planning multi-day hikes there. Effectively, there is no use wasting your time on catching the opening hours of this centre if you are looking for hiking infos. One additional star for the interesting exhibition (even though mostly in Norwegian only), which seems to be the only purpose of this establishment (at least as far as visitor services go, there is also a library)
