An absolutely incredible place - you can see wooden boats of various sizes being restored, learn about ropemaking and even use small wooden rowing boats. There‘s a gift shop and a small café with a terrace, too.

Small, but very interesting museum which shows how traditional craftmanship in marine construction and boatbuiding takes place. Skills are shown with patience and nice explanation. For kids there is plenty to do: make a small sailboat or make ropes the traditional way. The museum shows a very nice and complete collection of outboard motors.

Very interesting museum and a must-see if you're in the area. Many locals and family recommended it to us and we weren't disappointed. Best on a dry day since you need to walk outside between buildings. Don't miss the cafe and the delicious cakes!

Best value experience/thing in Norway! We went there to kill time on an afternoon and had a great time. Rowing in the harbour was included in the price, which was very reasonable. It was there I discovered my natural skill and life's true calling of boat building. Also free tea and coffee.

Very nice museum. Allows a lot to experience by yourself. (f.i. making a toy boat, making ropes, making knots, etc)

Superbe musée. Possibilité de voir de nombreux navires ainsi que les travaux de restauration en cours. Le personnel est super sympa, il est possible de poser des questions aux personnes travaillant sur les différents chantiers.
