Was there for dinner on May 17, Constitution Day. The food was very good but definitely on the expensive side. I had dropped by the day before to ask if the normal, a la carte, menu would be available and was told it would be. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case; hence they lost a star. The 3 course dinner for 2 with 1/2 a bottle of wine was 1700 NOK. However, it was delicious, beautifully plated and service was excellent.

Steep prices for lackluster food. Plated nicely and visually appealing, but lacking in taste. For half the price it would have been an ok ish deal.
Best wine selection... 13000 bottles and always something exciting, great food, great service. The staff is always solution oriented and helpful!
Wonderful food, great staff combined with good looking interiors. Grand Café has something for all occasions
Absolutely great service, which was only surpassed by the quality of food. Would highly recommend for anyone seeking a warm and classy atmosphere with absolutely delightful food.
Great food, great atmosphere, friendly and competent service. Historical place, very central and accessible. Highly recommend.
Such a fantastic place!!! Excellent food, excellent service, art than can keep you learning for hours, paintings from masters Lorenzo an excellent guest Please don’t leave Oslo without coming to this wonderful restaurant and cafe :)
Second time and last time. Before renovation it was better, even indoor design. Have no idea why they touch the history since whole Oslo is lacking of historic architecture. But lets blame the danish and swedish for that First time I was here and wanted to feel “poshy” since the hotel has name GRAND......I didnt. Service was just ok and my wien/norwegian schnitzel was just so thin and dry that I didnt know if I eat paper or meat. Wien schnitzel suppose to be thin but juicy and bigger then plate, with butte on top. But it doesnt have to be that greasy. Since is dry, the butter wont make it juicySo as lady you eat something dry, greasy and on side of it is one potato cut in pieces and tiny tiny tiny salad. Maybe bad season for potatoes and thats why is 1 per person \u200d️ second time( and I didnt wanted to go there) had steak sandwich...taste was goodIt was quality steak BUT you never let steak to serve it cold. Why? You cant chew it. I spend one hour min to chew this sandwich And the outdoor service The way how waiter talk, as Im his friend....this place has to really improve ...
