To be honest, this tasted like Indian food made for the local population. Not wanting to scare people with intense flavours or anything that would cause a reaction. It was absolutely plain and boring. It wasn't bad, but it was nothing that excited. I had the dinner thali, the chicken curry was tasteless, the lamb was a bit better but lacked any real spices or flavour. The dal was bland. The carrots were bland. Basically everything was made without any risk or edge, and probably goes down very well in a city coming to terms with foreign food. As generally every place in town tones their food down, they cannot be blamed. I just wish places like Lahore Dera were more applauded for being authentic because they don't shy away from the homecooking we all crave.

Cozy Indian street food cafe. Varied choices and specials. There is also a great beverage selection. The staff were helpful in explaining some of the dishes. Not your usual saag paneer or chicken tikka masala! I was hoping they had the cod but they were out. Next time I will try the okra....

This is a modern and unique spot to grab a quick Indian bite. Fast service with a simple menu. They have a set lunch and dinner menu which primary is fixed, with changing veggie or meat curry on rotation in and out each day. The rest of the menu is made of 'Street style' food. Nice atmosphere, close to central station.

Nice food, too much of oil though. Quick service. Simple menu. Cost wise, reasonable. I'm gonna frequent this place.

So basically, it's good Indian food for Norwegian people.. for Indians, the food lacked spice and was average. Chaat etc were tastier than the main course. The biggest plus point is the quick service.

Great value thali and friendly service in a casual dining setting. The food is about as good as one could expect in Northern Europe.

Crowded. As we did not book we took take away and eaten in park. May be even better. ;-)
