The soup and porridge come from plastic bags, the soup is reused for up to three days. The cakes are frozen. Nothing in this cafe is made there, and the prices are insanely high. This place is an overpriced tourist trap using the old aesthetic to lure you in. Go there, take a look, but do not buy anything there, it's a waste of your money.

Cool location tucked away from the main street. Food was fine at the best and definitely tourist prices. We had the goulash which was OK. Wouldn't have been surprised if it was from a can. The rømmegrøt wasn't our thing but looking around us it seems to be the thing people come here for. So if you like it you should probably come here. The best and cheapest on the menu was the waffle. Otherwise it's worth it for the location but probably not much else.
Brilliant place to enjoy hot tee and homemade cake
Great place to stay and eat, though you definitely pay tourist prices. Sound does carry from room to room, but, for us, that's a small price to pay for staying in a fun historic building. The host, Ellen, is fantastic, along with the staff. And they serve great food in an atmospheric courtyard throughout the day.

Lovely atmosphere, great cake (especially the one stamped world's best apple cake). Great coffee place to sit and feel good in Røros.
