Lovely place and lovely food with a great wine paring menu. Great friendly staff with a lot of knowledge. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the presentation of food and wine. Presentation was to quick in English with accents that sounded like a mumbling rant.

From start to finish there is little discussion about the high level of service and quality offered by this place. I only had one minor critique which related to the wine paring and which I gave to the sommelier on the spot, but again this can easily be an individual thing. The food, the service and the setting was amazing. I highly recommend for a better than usual experience.

Amazing experience! Me and my husband came to celebrate our marriage at Kontrast. It was our second time here and we were pleasantly surprised. Silvester- bar manager was super nice and made our evening extra special. Food, drinks, service is outstanding! ️ We are proud to have restaurant like this in Oslo!

Very good experience. I went for the 6 courses non alcoholic pairing ( driving...). Excellent service, nice & quiet atmosphere. Food was very good. Enjoyed the sweetbread dish, the slow cooked beef & the blue cheese. Being a big fan of apple tart, the deconstructed apple pie was a bit of disappointment though. The non alcoholic drinks were a nice discovery and a good touch for those who must remain sober.

Clean, peaceful environment. Positive energy, vibe from entrance to table. Deeply knowledgeable team from ingredient, preparation, composition through service and pairings. Pairings were unique and well matched with the 10 course menu. The menu was fresh, well constructed and superbly executed. In general we had a beautiful evening with these people. Cheers.

This place is beyond words. Everything from the beginning to the end is part of a superior experience. I'm overwhelmed of all the new tastes and extraordinary courses that I had a privilege to travel through. Service was so warm and kind and the whole personnel is highly professional. They are also human beings and easygoing, not some kind of robots. Must visit restaurant if you are nearby and want to have a really special food experience. But it is also worth to travel much much longer distance to get there. Superb food and lovely people, that really makes experience beyond words.

A relaxed informal Scandinavian-style setting with a view of the kitchen. Fulfilling tasting menu of six or ten courses. Langoustine, scallop and apple sorbet were our favourite dishes! Prompt and friendly service.
