Excellent exploration of musical history, with a rich exhibition of many musical instruments from around the world. Features a guided audio walkthrough of the various instruments. During certain months there is also a live performance of various baroque and other keyboard instruments in the adjacent house. Great place to spend a few hours to learn more about world music. Reasonable prices.
Beautiful museum with a great selection of instruments, even some you can play with, and demonstrations. Worth a visit when in Trondheim! Nice views from the parking lot as well.
Great collection of all types of instruments.
I found it very interesting. Worth taking the guided tour.
Guided Tour is really amazing, a Pianist plays instruments from different eras.
A great little museum. Beautifully curated. Friendly staff. Very nice restaurant. The audio guide (available in English) is an invaluable accompaniment to any tour as it adds the vital missing ingredient of sound. I especially enjoyed the working Theremin, for a moment I was Jimmy Page, though I doubt other visitors would agree.
Nice place to enjoy the typical music, culture and nature.
